Goodie’s random blog

Every so often i like to go through a list of referrers to my blog… to see who’s linking to me ect. I end up doing this about once a week, or there about, depending on when I’m bored.

I did so earlier today… and discovered something interesting.

Someone had sent, what i thought, were 30+ links to my blog… so i went there to have a look around. It was clear that it was a blog similar to mine, and was about the latest Gundam 00 episode. Great I thought! someone with similar interests to me, is linking to my site. :D. I then searched for the link to me, and immediately I found no link to me… that’s strange i thought. I then viewed the source of his page… and did a search for goodiemania.org. It then became clear that all his images were being hotlinked from my blog.

I then set about preventing this evil that is hotlinking. I wont go into detail, as there are some very good tutorials out there about this. But what i will say, is that IF you wish to link to my images, email me, and i shall gladly add the domain to my while list as long as you link back to here.

Oh, and you just cant trust people these days not to go and do something downright dirty like hot linking ect.
/gets even less faith in humanity (is that even possible?)
